Ragged Staff, named after a 17th century Inn which once stood at the crossroads in the Bedfordshire village of Silsoe, was formed in 2008. The current line-up has been playing an Anglo-Celtic mix of traditional and contemporary folk music since the beginning of 2011.

With a focus on intricate arrangements and the use of a broad range of instruments such as guitar, fiddle, mandola, whistle, bodhran and uilleann pipes, the band offer a host of tunes and songs to entertain you.

Ragged Staff have performed at festivals, folk clubs and pubs throughout Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire and Northamptonshire and are the resident band at the NAF Club in Silsoe (www.nafclub.co.uk). They released their debut album ‘Isle of Hope’ in 2010.
